What problem does femCycle solve?

Menstrual symptoms are common and often not taken seriously. According to a 2022 study by Plan International Germany cited by femCycle, 72% of people who menstruate in Germany struggle with cycle-related symptoms. 51% are unhappy with their medical treatment, and a third are only prescribed the pill or painkillers without anyone looking for the cause.

How does the app work?

Users track their cycle and symptoms. femCycle reveals hormonal patterns and possible triggers, gives science-based recommendations for relief and creates a medical report doctors can interpret quickly. The app is GDPR-compliant and completely free for users. The long-term goal is for health insurers to cover the cost.

Who is behind femCycle?

The idea comes from founder Carina, who suffered from severe cycle symptoms herself and trained in holistic women's health. Together with co-founder Mahja she is building femCycle on the principle "by those affected, for those affected".
